Jetlag
It’s not as bad as I thought it’d be.We (surprisingly) slept for 9 out of the 14 hour flight from SFO to Sydney.First thing once we freshened up, we took a train into city center, stepping off at Circular Quay. Sydney Harbour is fabulous with adorable waterside cafes. It felt like a tropical Manhattan: hustle and bustle mixed with chic style but with the climate of the jungle. It went from incredibly hot and muggy to a harsh (but warm) downpour within minutes. We wandered for a handful of miles in the Royal Botanical Gardens through the mist, and zig zagged through The Rocks. A sign caught our attention, “The Oldest Pub in Sydney,” enough to drop in out of the rain. After a glass of champagne and a hard cider, the jetlag began to creep in. 3pm but it felt like 2am… Back to the hotel with alarms set for 4:30 am, 7:00 am flight to the Gold Coast.
